The Practice is pleased to be able to promote a World Sepsis Day online event being organised by Dr Akash Deep, a Senior Consultant in paediatric intensive care at King’s College Hospital (and a specialist in sepsis), along with Helen Hayes, MP for Dulwich and West Norwood.
Recent research indicates that sepsis is responsible for one in five deaths worldwide and that it is treatable if diagnosed promptly, although early diagnosis can often be difficult. This online event, that will take place via Microsoft Teams on 13th September 2021 (World Sepsis Day), is planned especially for parents of young children and it brings together experts to raise awareness of sepsis.
The online event will last one hour, and the agenda includes an information session and Q+A, chaired by Helen Hayes, for parents and teachers to learn more about sepsis in children and how to identify this early.
To join Helen and Akash for this free online event at 1:30pm on Monday 13th September, please click here.
Please note that You will need access to a mobile phone or a computer to access the event.
